Central Bank international conference: Joint institutional action — the strongest response to financial crime
The Central Bank of Montenegro today organised an international conference on “The institutional response to financial crime – the state, challenges and directions for improvement”, as Vijesti reports.
Opening the conference, Central Bank Governor Irena Radović stressed that joint institutional action is the strongest response to financial crime. According to her, the fight against money laundering, corruption and illicit financial flows requires close coordination among all state institutions and continuity in strengthening preventive mechanisms, as CdM writes.
The conference brought together representatives of Montenegrin institutions and international partners, with the aim of exchanging experiences and best practices in detecting and preventing financial crime.
On the same day, Governor Radović also met with the director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, where the talks focused on strengthening cooperation in the fight against corruption.
