Dedaj: The Specialist Court is a fascist and absurd court — it has tarnished even our graves

Kosovo’s former ambassador to North Macedonia and former Liberal Party chairman Gjergj Dedaj has harshly criticized the Specialist Court in The Hague, calling it a “fascist” and “absurd” court. He made the statements as a guest on Klan Kosova’s “Edicioni Special,” where he commented on the Specialist Chambers’ verdict against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, as Klan Kosova reports.

“I have said it in The Hague, I say it here, I will say it wherever I can — this is a fascist court, this is an absurd court,” Dedaj said, according to Klan Kosova’s reporting.

“This is a court that has tarnished even our graves; I have 12 members of my family killed,” he added, showing that his criticism of the Specialist Court is also rooted in his personal experience from the war.

Dedaj’s statement comes amid numerous reactions in Kosovo following The Hague verdict against former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi — which has sparked daily protests in Pristina and calls for legal changes in the Kosovo Assembly.
