Deliu-Kodra: A great national irresponsibility to dissolve the Assembly without voting on the Special Court law
Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Blerta Deliu-Kodra spoke tonight about the law on the Special Court, criticising the lack of concrete action in this direction, as Klan Kosova reports.
According to her, dissolving the Assembly without voting on this law would be a great national irresponsibility: “It is a great national irresponsibility to allow Parliament to be dissolved without the law being voted on. This hurts more because of the lack of political, national and social awareness that some politicians have”, she declared.
Deliu-Kodra stressed that the law does not resolve all issues, but considered it the starting point of a joint political approach: “The law does not fix everything, but it is a starting point of a joint, all-national strategy, and whoever sees this matter in isolation, it is very painful”, she told Klan Kosova.
The statement comes at a time when the PDK is insistently demanding that the draft law amending the Law on Specialist Chambers be brought before the Assembly for a vote, while political parties are also discussing the election of the new president, with a constitutional deadline of 6 October.
