From the KLA to the KSF: Sami Lushtaku’s son becomes a Kosovo Army cadet
The former KLA commander in the Drenica Zone and mayor of the Municipality of Skenderaj, Sami Lushtaku, has shared with the public special family news: his son, Siyll Lushtaku, has become a cadet of the Kosovo Army (FSK), after taking the military oath.
The announcement was made through a Facebook post, in which Lushtaku expressed the pride and emotions of a parent watching his son follow in the family’s military tradition. “Today is one of those days that for me as a parent is difficult to describe in words. A day when pride and emotions come together. Today, my son, Siyll, was sworn in as a new cadet of the Kosovo Army, starting a new chapter in his journey toward becoming a future officer of the Republic of Kosovo,” he wrote.
The oath ceremony marks the beginning of the new cadet’s journey toward becoming an officer of the Republic of Kosovo. His father, known as one of the main figures of the KLA war in Drenica and currently mayor of the Municipality of Skenderaj, welcomed this moment with special pride.
The photo published from the ceremony shows Siyll Lushtaku in cadet uniform next to his father, Sami Lushtaku — a moment symbolizing the continuity of the military tradition in the family, from the KLA to the KSF, as Klan Kosova reports.
