Gonxhja: special financial scheme for artists after the end of their stage careers
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports has launched a public consultation on the draft law that provides special financial treatment for performing artists after the end of their stage artistic activity.
Minister Blendi Gonxhja announced that the initiative aims to create, for the first time, a special financial scheme for ballet dancers, folk dancers, acrobats, opera singers and choristers who meet the set criteria.
According to the draft law, the scheme aims to guarantee the continuity of social and health insurance until the right to a pension arises, offering financial treatment after the end of stage artistic activity.
The initiative also provides for creating opportunities to include new talents in national art institutions, as well as passing on artists’ professional experience to younger generations through training, artistic, cultural and mentoring programs.
As part of the public consultation, MTKS will hold a meeting on September 25, from 13:00 to 14:30, at the TKOBAP premises, where interested parties will be able to present their comments, suggestions and proposals on the draft law.
