Gucati Calls for the Specialist Chambers to Be Abolished: KLA War Veterans Organization Backs Every Protest

The chairman of the Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans Organization (OVL-UÇK), Hysni Gucati, has declared that the organization will support every popular protest, provided they are peaceful.

Gucati said the organization will also back the students’ protest, while warning that the possibility of OVL-UÇK organizing its own protests will be discussed at the leadership meeting.

“The veterans’ organization will always be in support of every popular protest initiative,” Gucati declared, stressing that protests must not be accompanied by violence.

He said OVL-UÇK will continue supporting protests until, in his words, their goals are achieved.

Gucati also commented on PDK’s draft law amending the Law on Specialist Chambers. He praised PDK’s initiative as a positive step but said OVL-UÇK’s stance goes further.

“It is good that they submitted it — better late than never,” he said.

However, Gucati called on political parties to unite in demanding the full abolition of the Specialist Court.

According to him, OVL-UÇK has already submitted its five points on this issue and expects MPs to support initiatives to change the current situation.
