Gucati: Deputies Should Come Together on the Law on the Specialist Chambers, Without Wasting Time

The head of the KLA War Veterans Organisation (OVL-UÇK), Hysni Gucati, spoke on Klan Kosova’s “Ora Shtatë” programme on September 30 about the protest against the Specialist Court’s decision on the former KLA leaders. According to Klan Kosova’s reporting, the protest will be held on October 1, 2026, at 16:00, in “Skënderbeu” Square in Pristina, and the OVL-UÇK will be part of it.

“We have called on Albanian citizens to take part in the protest tomorrow at 16:00. It will be a peaceful protest,” Gucati said, as Klan Kosova reports.

Gucati presented the OVL-UÇK’s three demands: proceeding with the amendment of the law on the Specialist Court, the creation of an international and independent commission to oversee the work of the Specialist Court, and securing the budget for the defence of the former KLA leaders. If the demands are not met, he warned, “we will not sit idly by.”

Finally, as Klan Kosova reports, Gucati called on deputies to come together and to process and vote on the changes “without wasting time.”
