Haradinaj on possibly running for president: I am not a candidate, I see elections

Alliance for the Future of Kosovo MP Ramush Haradinaj has commented on speculation about the possibility that he could be a candidate for president of Kosovo.

Asked on the “Adresa” show whether he sees himself in the race for the post of president, Haradinaj said he is currently not a candidate and does not want to get involved in what he called “political games”.

“I thank all those who trust me with any given responsibility. I am not a candidate and I do not want to become part of political games. So, there are only games. I do not see that we will have a president, I see elections,” Haradinaj declared.

His statement comes at a time when discussions are circulating on Kosovo’s political scene regarding the election of the president and the possibility of holding new elections.

Haradinaj, however, has not categorically ruled out the possibility of taking on an institutional responsibility in the future, saying he values the trust given to him for various positions.
