Identification of three victims from mass graves in Zubin Potok, Haxhiu: “The search will not stop until the last missing person is found”
Acting President of Kosovo Albulena Haxhiu reacted today after the identification of three victims whose mortal remains were exhumed from mass graves in Kalludër and Jabukë in Zubin Potok.
Haxhiu emphasizes in a Facebook post that for 27 years these families lived without knowing where their loved ones were.
“Today they know. The pain remains, but this long wait is over,” Haxhiu writes.

Three families today received news about family members violently disappeared since 1999.
DNA analyses confirmed the identity of three victims, whose mortal remains were exhumed from mass graves in Kalludër and Jabukë in Zubin Potok. They were part of the group known as the “Intellectuals Group,” Albanians from Skenderaj and Mitrovica, abducted by Serbian forces on April 19, 1999.
For 27 years, these families lived without knowing where their loved ones were. Today they know. The pain remains, but this long wait is over.
I stand by them on this day. I also sympathize with other families awaiting the results of excavations in the coming weeks.
Our search will not stop until the last violently disappeared person is found and those responsible face justice. /Telegrafi/
