Igor Simić: I and several Serbian List members have been summoned by Kosovo’s Special Prosecution
Serbian List deputy leader Igor Simić declared on September 29 that he and several other party members have received summonses from the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, as KosovaPress reports.
According to him, the summonses relate to suspicions of four criminal offenses: association for unconstitutional activity aimed at attacking the constitutional order, endangering persons under international protection, attacking an official person, and participating in a mob committing a criminal offense and hooliganism.
In a video appearance on the matter, Simić described the summonses as pressure on Serbian List representatives, claiming they come every time he speaks in Parliament about the situation of Serbs in Kosovo.
“As always, I will respond to the summons, because I have nothing to hide. I have not committed any criminal offense,” he is quoted as saying, according to KosovaPress.
The material he published gives no details on which specific events the suspicions relate to, and Simić’s claims about the motives behind the summonses have not yet been confirmed by the Special Prosecution — the outlet said it would publish the prosecution’s position as soon as it responds.
