Indictment Filed for Document Forgery and Fraud in Peja Hospital Tender

The Basic Prosecution in Peja, Department for Serious Crimes, has filed an indictment against a person with the initials R.K. and a legal entity, on suspicion of the criminal offenses “Misuse and fraud in public procurement” and “Document forgery.”

According to the indictment, R.K., in his capacity as owner and authorized representative of an economic operator, is suspected of having submitted and used false and unauthorized documentation while participating in a public procurement procedure conducted by the General Hospital in Peja for the supply of protocol books.

The prosecution claims that the submitted documentation included a CV, an employment contract and a university certificate in the name of another person, without that person’s knowledge or permission.

According to the indictment, these documents are suspected of having been used to influence the contracting authority’s decision-making and to secure the contract.

R.K. is also suspected of having drafted a forged document, specifically an employment contract, so that it could be used as an original document in the public procurement procedure.

The legal entity is also involved in this case, suspected of having submitted and used false and unauthorized documentation during its participation in the procurement procedure, with the aim of influencing the contracting authority’s decision and securing the contract.

According to the Prosecution, there is a well-founded suspicion that R.K. committed the criminal offenses “Misuse and fraud in public procurement” and “Document forgery,” while the legal entity is suspected of the criminal offense “Misuse and fraud in public procurement.”

The case prosecutor has proposed to the court that the defendants be found guilty and sentenced according to the law for the criminal offenses they are charged with.
