Iran categorically denies any link to the serious incident at the U.S. base in Britain

Iran has categorically denied any link to the five arrests made near Britain’s Fairford air base, Sky News reported on Monday, citing a statement from the Iranian embassy in London.

Earlier, British police announced that all five of those arrested are British nationals residing in London.

British authorities found explosives in three vans parked minutes away from the base. Five men were arrested in connection with the case and charged with terrorism.

The planned attack appears to have been averted by chance when a citizen noticed unusual behavior late at night by a group of men and called 999.
