Jakup Krasniqi’s son Altin: The KLA war was for dignity — the war of a people despised and oppressed for decades

Altin Krasniqi, the son of former KLA leader Jakup Krasniqi, who spoke on behalf of the former KLA leaders in The Hague, thanked all citizens for their continued support.

He said the KLA’s war was for freedom, it was for dignity — the war of a people that for decades was despised and oppressed.

“That is why what happened in The Hague cannot be seen only as a case against four individuals. For us, this verdict touches a far greater history — it touches the sacrifice of every martyr, every veteran, every political prisoner, every survivor of violence, every missing person, every child killed by Serbia’s genocidal forces, every family that sacrificed for Kosovo’s freedom,” he said.
