Klopp: I will not celebrate if City have their titles stripped

Jürgen Klopp, currently Germany’s coach and former Liverpool manager, spoke about the scandal that has engulfed Manchester City. He initially said he was ready to celebrate the stripping of the titles, but he has now changed his mind.

“Some time ago, I said I would take part in a celebratory parade, complete with an open-top bus, if they stripped the ‘Citizens’ of what they have won over the years. However, I no longer feel that way now. I simply feel the need to wait and see what will happen.”

“They were formidable opponents. I have nothing to do with this story and I am not preparing to celebrate. I feel no emotion about it. I am completely satisfied with what I have done and what we achieved with Liverpool. The rest does not interest me.”

During his years in charge of the Reds, the German coach won one Premier League title, one FA Cup, one Community Shield and two League Cups. At international level, he won one Champions League, one Super Cup and one Club World Cup.
