Kosovo Assembly convenes today, agenda includes declaration on the Specialist Chambers judgment

The Kosovo Assembly will convene today in plenary session, starting at 11:00, as Telegrafi reports.

On the session’s agenda is the adoption of the Declaration regarding the Judgment of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers of 16 September 2026.

Before the declaration is considered, deputies are expected to approve the minutes from previous sessions, and the swearing-in of deputies will also take place.

Also at this session, the election of the Deputy Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly from the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo is foreseen.

The formation of parliamentary committees is also on the agenda.

Recall that the initiative to supplement and amend the Law on the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague has been sent for opinion to the Kosovo Government.

On 21 September, the Democratic Party of Kosovo submitted the draft law to the Assembly.

In the proposed amendments document, it is requested, among other things, that the highest penalties that can be imposed by the Hague Court be 15 years of imprisonment and that convicts may be subject to presidential pardon.

The agenda of today’s session:

1. Approval of the minutes from previous sessions;
2. Swearing-in of deputies;
3. Adoption of the Declaration regarding the Judgment of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers of 16 September 2026;
4. Election of the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly from the PDK Parliamentary Group;
5. Formation of parliamentary committees.
