Kosovo central bank organizes voluntary blood donation drive, promoting solidarity and social responsibility
The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) has organized a voluntary blood donation activity for its staff, in cooperation with Kosovo’s National Blood Transfusion Center, Telegrafi reports.
According to the CBK, the initiative was organized as part of the institution’s commitment to promoting humane values and social responsibility.
CBK employees responded to the humanitarian call, donating blood and contributing to a cause directly tied to citizens’ health and lives.
At the launch of the activity, CBK Governor Ahmet Ismaili praised the staff’s voluntary engagement, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and responsibility toward the community.
According to him, alongside professionalism and responsibility in fulfilling its institutional mandate, solidarity, integrity and social responsibility are among the values the CBK aims to cultivate within the institution.
“Voluntary blood donation is a special act of humanism, turning solidarity into a direct contribution to people’s lives and health,” Ismaili said.
The CBK said the initiative also reflects the social dimension of the ESG principles included in the institution’s Strategic Plan, through the promotion of solidarity, social responsibility and voluntary engagement for the benefit of the community.
The institution thanked Kosovo’s National Blood Transfusion Center for its cooperation and organization of the activity, as well as the healthcare professionals for their dedication and service.
The CBK also expressed gratitude to its staff for their contribution to the initiative, stressing that it will continue to foster an organizational culture based on professionalism, integrity, solidarity and responsibility toward the community.
