Kosovo–EFTA free trade agreement enters into force
From today, Tuesday, September 29, the free trade agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the member countries of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) — Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein — has entered into force, as KosovaPress reports.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade organized an information session, where officials explained to businesses and producers the new opportunities the agreement opens. Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila stressed that the agreement’s entry into force opens a new chapter for the country’s economy and expands access to these countries’ markets for products and services from Kosovo.
According to the report, the agreement strengthens economic ties between Kosovo and the four EFTA member countries, creating new opportunities for local businesses and producers to export to markets with high standards and strong purchasing power.
