Kremlin critic Kasparov: My life is in danger, I am on an assassination target list

Russian dissident and former chess champion Garry Kasparov has been warned by the Lithuanian and American security services that his life is “in danger.” He announced this in a post on social media on Tuesday. “The news that I and my longtime associate and co-founder of the Free Russia Forum, Ivan Tyurin, are on an assassination target list did not surprise me, but it is still a shock,” Kasparov wrote.

“The Lithuanian and American security services informed us that our lives were in danger and that we should take preventive measures. I did so and will continue to do so,” he continued.
