Kurti hosts political representatives of the Albanians of the Valley: Kosovo’s support remains an ongoing pledge
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Tuesday evening welcomed political representatives of the Albanians of Presheva, Bujanovac and Medvedja at the Prime Minister’s Office, on his second working day after being re-elected to head the Government.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Albanian political parties from the Presheva Valley, among them Shaip Kamberi, Visar Memeti, Shqiprim Musliu, Sami Salihu, Armend Aliu, Sali Salihu and Agim Sabedini, as well as the mayor of Presheva, Ardita Sinani, the mayor of Bujanovac, Arbër Pajaziti, the president of the Albanian National Council, Enkel Rexhepi, and the representative from Medvedja, Arben Ferati.
According to Kurti, the meeting was held to hear the views of the Albanian representatives and discuss the challenges facing Albanians in the Valley.
The discussions also focused on political coordination to protect the rights of Albanians and strengthen their representation, particularly in parliament.
“The Albanians of the Valley need cooperation and shared responsibility. Party differences are part of democracy, but the citizens’ interest must be the meeting point of everyone’s engagement,” Kurti wrote.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Government of Kosovo’s support for the Albanians of Presheva, Bujanovac and Medvedja will continue.
“We will stand by them in defending their rights, preserving their identity and improving daily life,” he declared.
