Kurti meets the ambassadors of France, Britain and Germany
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti held meetings on Friday with the new ambassadors of France, the United Kingdom and Germany, with whom he discussed political developments in Kosovo and the deepening of bilateral cooperation.
In the meeting with the new ambassador of France, Jean-François Huchet, Kurti discussed advancing relations between the two countries, with an emphasis on the 2030 Mediterranean Games, infrastructure, technology and energy.
Kosovo’s European path was also a topic of discussion, while Kurti stressed the importance of France’s support in the integration processes.
Kurti also received the ambassador of the United Kingdom, Jonathan Hargreaves, from whom he received congratulations on the formation of the Government and the new mandate.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting discussed the latest political developments and the further strengthening of the Kosovo–United Kingdom strategic partnership.
Cooperation in trade, investment, technology and sport, including preparations for the 2030 Mediterranean Games, was mentioned as one of the areas where expansion of cooperation is aimed.
Meanwhile, in the meeting with Germany’s ambassador, Rainer Rudolph, Kurti discussed political developments in Kosovo, the Berlin Process and the Kosovo–Germany Economic Forum, which is expected to be held at the end of October.
Kurti thanked Ambassador Rudolph for Germany’s continuing support for Kosovo.
During this meeting, the prime minister also expressed Kosovo’s concern regarding the judgment of the Specialist Chambers in The Hague against four former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, claiming that the judgment contains factual, historical and legal inaccuracies which, according to him, must be corrected in the appeal procedure, as Telegrafi reports.
