Kurti urges PDK to nominate deputy speaker: ‘Let’s not waste time on procedures’
Newly elected Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has invited the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) to cooperate in the Assembly, urging the party to propose its candidate for deputy speaker of the Assembly as soon as possible.
Kurti said it is essential that institutions work and not waste time on procedures.
“It is essential that we work and not waste time on procedures and obstructions,” Kurti stated.
He called on the PDK to propose its candidate for deputy speaker of the Assembly and to engage in the work of parliamentary committees.
“I invite the Democratic Party of Kosovo to come forward as soon as possible and also propose its candidate for deputy speaker of the Assembly, and to work together with the parliamentary committee,” Kurti said.
According to him, although the government is led by Vetëvendosje, the state and the Republic do not belong only to those in power, but also to the opposition.
“The government is led by Vetëvendosje, while on the other hand the state and the Republic are not the government’s — they also belong to the opposition, which will be active in the Assembly,” Kurti stated. /Telegrafi/
