Kurti: We have begun communications on the agreement for the president
Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has said that communications have begun regarding the agreement on electing the country’s president.
“We have begun communications and, naturally, this weekend is decisive for having an agreement, so that next week we have the president,” Prime Minister Kurti said today.
Kosovo has entered the decisive days for electing the new president. By 6 October, the political parties must find an agreement on electing the head of state, otherwise the country is expected to go to parliamentary elections again, as RTK reports.
The deadline was set by the Constitutional Court, which last week found that the 60-day deadline for electing the president began after the constitution of the Assembly.
