Two police officers attacked in Pristina, suspect arrested

A person has been arrested in Pristina after allegedly attacking two police officers while they were carrying out their official duties, the Kosovo Police said in its 24-hour report, as cited by UBT News.

According to the report, the incident took place on the evening of Thursday, 1 October, at around 18:20, while the police officers were checking the identity of another person who was in a car and who is believed to be a relative of the suspect, the Fiks portal reports, referring to reporting by ‘Bota sot’.

During the incident, another person also arrived at the scene and allegedly obstructed the police unit and tried to help the suspect flee.

In addition to the police units, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK) was also notified about the case. By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect was interviewed and then remanded in custody.
