Kuwait Condemns Houthi Attack on Riyadh; Muslim World League: “Violation of All Religious Values”

The Muslim World League also condemned the attack, calling it a violation of “all religious values, as well as international and humanitarian laws and norms.”

This is the first time the Saudi capital has been targeted since the escalation of fighting in July. Saudi Arabia said the attack was intercepted by air defense. Several residents heard an explosion and later saw a plume of smoke near the airport. There are no reports of casualties or material damage, according to official data.

The condemnation comes after a wave of Houthi attacks with ballistic missiles and drones on Saudi targets this weekend, which Riyadh considers a dangerous escalation of the war that has engulfed the entire region.
