Man arrested in Pristina suspected of blackmailing another man for three years; victim paid money

Kosovo Police have arrested a man in Pristina on reasonable suspicion that for three consecutive years — from 2023 to 2025 — he repeatedly blackmailed another man, demanding money. The victim had given the suspect a considerable sum of money during that period.

The case was disclosed in the 24-hour report of the Kosovo Police, as reported by Betimi për Drejtësi, which covered the arrest of the suspect. The arrest was also confirmed by UBT News.

By order of the prosecutor, the suspect has been taken into custody, while investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the case are expected to continue.

The arrested person is considered innocent until proven otherwise by a final court decision.
