Musliu responds to critics: When ‘Cali’ was convicted, I was in the squares with the citizens
PDK MP Ganimete Musliu has responded to critics over her actions after Salih Mustafa, known as “Cali”, was convicted by The Hague, saying she was in the squares with the citizens. As Klan Kosova reports, Musliu reacted in a Facebook post, in which she said that, unable to act institutionally, she went out into the squares together with citizens to oppose the verdict and the conviction.
“For all those who ask: ‘What did you do and where were you when Cali was convicted?’ this is the answer. Unable to act institutionally and politically powerless to take decisions in the Assembly, I went out into the squares, together with the citizens, to oppose this verdict and this conviction,” she wrote.
According to Klan Kosova’s reporting, Musliu criticised the Vetevendosje Movement for its unkept promise to undo the Specialist Court. According to her, those who were a parliamentary majority then and are a majority today “came to power promising they would undo the Specialist Court”, but instead of taking concrete steps, they “falsified photographs from the protests to feed their brainwashed militants, who attack me every day with these doctored photographs”.
“My answer is simple: I was in the SQUARES with the citizens. They were in power. So, before pointing the finger at us, let them show why they did not undo the Specialist Court, even though they took power on the promise that they would undo this Court,” Musliu’s reaction concludes.
