National Ensemble brings Albanian tradition to Italy, with four artistic evenings in Brescia, Turin, Pordenone and Rovereto
Song, dance, costumes and the colors of Albanian tradition will travel to Italy through an artistic tour of the National Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances, which will present the values of Albanian cultural heritage in four Italian cities.
Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the calendar of events on social media, describing the tour as a celebration that connects Albanians with their roots and culture.
“Four cities, four evenings full of song, dance, colors and emotions, in a celebration that unites Albanians with their roots and culture,” Rama wrote.
The artistic tour begins on September 19 in Brescia, continuing on September 20 in Turin, September 21 in Pordenone and September 22 in Rovereto.
Through its artistic repertoire, the National Ensemble will bring the richness of Albanian folklore to Italian stages, presenting songs, dances, costumes and traditions from Albania’s different regions.
The events also aim to serve as a cultural bridge between the Albanian community in Italy and their country of origin, promoting Albanian identity, heritage and culture through art.
The tour is part of cultural activities aimed at strengthening ties with the Albanian diaspora and promoting Albanian culture abroad.
