National team: Coach Maran happy with the team’s performance

Winning debut for Rolando Maran as coach of the red-and-blacks in an official match, a 2-0 win over Belarus in the first Nations League match. “I expected it, we’re happy. Happy with the team’s performance. The players showed what we have worked on in training. I’m happy our fans saw the team play well.”

“Surprised by Belarus? No, I’m not. We knew it was going to be difficult. They had six matches with positive results. We struggled at the start, but as time went on we managed to find ourselves.”

“If I had to single out one player? When you play this well, it’s hard to find the best player. I think we should value the team’s spirit and sacrifice. All the players did very well.”

“Muçi, a point of reference? He is a player of great quality. I don’t think we should have only one player as a point of reference.”
