At the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, we opened the ‘Pink October’ campaign, dedicated to breast cancer awareness.
In my speech I stressed that in this house, where laws are passed and public money is allocated, we have a responsibility to secure the means for the care women need. A check-up should not be postponed because of distance, expenses or the inability to break away from family obligations.
Many women are used to putting their own needs last. Each of us can ease their burden, so that they also have time for their health, without feeling guilty about the work that remains undone that day.
When October ends and the pink ribbons are taken off, someone will still be waiting for an answer, and someone will be having their first day of treatment. Our care and dedication must continue for as long as they need it, as Telegrafi reports.
