Protesters stage action in front of the Ministry of Justice, address Gërvalla: The time for excuses is over, vote the law on the KLA
Protesters of the “Not in My Name” initiative staged an action today in front of the Ministry of Justice, where they placed a banner reading “Vote the Law”, demanding the processing and approval of the law on the protection of the KLA, as Telegrafi reports.
After the action, activist and protester Rron Kafegjolli said that citizens have been demanding the approval of this law for 17 days and that the delays are unacceptable.
“We are here today, in front of the Ministry of Justice, because the time for excuses has expired,” he declared.
Kafegjolli said that, according to Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s statements, the law is being kept blocked at the Ministry of Justice and at the Ministry of Finance.
“This is not just any instruction that you can pass up and down through offices! Because this is about the law that protects the truth of the KLA, and we will not allow its dragging out,” he said.
He criticized Minister Gërvalla and Minister Murati, demanding that the institutions act in accordance with the citizens’ demands.
“The institutions of this state cannot remain hostage to the grudges or personal convictions of Minister Gërvalla and Minister Murati. The state is not anyone’s private property!” Kafegjolli said.
Mentioning the approach of October 6, he called on the Government not to delay the law any further.
