Rama: motoring enthusiasts and tourists gave Gjirokastra a different colour

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today on social media images from “Gran Tour Albania”, the event that brought Italian collectors of retro cars to Gjirokastra.

“Motoring enthusiasts and tourists gave a different colour to autumn Gjirokastra,” Rama wrote, alongside the images from the event.

The rare cars were placed along the cobbled streets of the stone city, creating a special atmosphere in combination with the sounds of iso-polyphony and Gjirokastra’s characteristic landscape.

“Gran Tour Albania”, organised by Old Cars Club and DPSHTRR, gathered Italian collectors of historic cars, attracting the attention of tourists and motoring enthusiasts.

The event took place as part of a tour that promotes retro cars and Albanian tourist destinations, while the stop in Gjirokastra brought another dimension to the city’s tourist life during the autumn.
