Rama returns from the U.S., crosses paths with Berisha at Rinas as the DP leader flies to Strasbourg

An unexpected encounter was recorded at midday today at the “Nënë Tereza” International Airport, where the leaders of the country’s two main political poles crossed paths during their official movements.

At the same moment Prime Minister Edi Rama stepped off the plane that brought him from New York after attending the UN General Assembly, Democratic Party chairman Sali Berisha arrived at the airline terminal.

The opposition leader was seen entering the airport to depart for Strasbourg, where he is expected to closely follow the next session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Meanwhile, media sources say Rama has cancelled his planned press conference. According to initial reports, the Prime Minister is expected to deliver his message through a video message during the course of the day.
