Rama to address Albanians from Tirana airport upon return from U.S. visit
Prime Minister Edi Rama will address Albanians today with a message following his return from a visit to the United States. The prime minister is expected to speak from the press hall of Tirana International Airport “Nënë Tereza” immediately after stepping off the plane at the end of his visit to New York.
Rama’s message is expected to focus on the situation at home, following the launch of SPAK investigations against the head of the State Intelligence Service (SHISH), Vlora Hyseni.
Also in focus is expected to be his U.S. visit, during which he took part in the proceedings of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The prime minister’s U.S. visit lasted six days and began with a meeting with the Albanian community in Michigan, where he announced plans to open an Albanian consulate and create a National Diaspora Register.
In New York, Rama took part in other events with the Albanian-American community, while in his address to the UN General Assembly he touched on artificial intelligence, European integration, and Albania’s role on the international stage.
