Russian air strikes injure two people in Kyiv and Odesa, infrastructure damaged
One person was injured in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and another in the Black Sea port city of Odesa during Russian air strikes, according to reports by Ukraine’s emergency service and an Odesa city official, as Reuters reports.
The reports were published on the Telegram app on Thursday. In Odesa, the strikes damaged infrastructure, although no further details were given on the scale of the damage or the facilities hit.
Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa city administration, said on Telegram that Russia constantly attacks the port city in order to prevent Ukraine from securing export revenues, without giving additional details.
The new attack comes just a day after the massive Russian offensive with around 190 drones and ballistic missiles against Ukraine’s energy grid, which caused casualties in Kyiv and kept the capital under air alert for nearly 21 hours.
Ukraine is facing an intensification of Russian air strikes on civilian and energy infrastructure, as the war has entered its fifth year.
