Saudi Arabia activates early warning system in Jazan, Abha and Khamis Mushait

Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense has announced on the X platform that early warning systems have been activated in Jazan, Abha and Khamis Mushait, urging residents to stay away from windows and go to safe rooms.

The agency said the measures are precautionary, due to the Houthis’ continued missile and drone attacks on the kingdom.

Khamis Mushait is home to a major Saudi air base that has been a repeated target of Houthi attacks in recent days, including dozens of missiles and drones claimed by the group.

The activation comes as the Houthis claim that Saudi aircraft carried out 52 airstrikes in 24 hours on civilian infrastructure in Yemen, while clashes along the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb continue to escalate.
