Scrimmage photos: Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum and Paolo Banchero return to Duke

Photos from a scrimmage in Durham have surfaced online, highlighting the return of several NBA stars to their old campus. Among them are Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum and Paolo Banchero, while the Duke program hinted it was preparing a highlight video of the top moments.

As Bleacher Report reports, the trio returned this week to the university where each played one season: Irving in 2010-11, Tatum in 2016-17 and Banchero in 2021-22. In the shared footage, Irving is seen greeting legend and former coach Mike Krzyzewski, as well as current coach Jon Scheyer. Also in attendance was Magic center Wendell Carter Jr., while former stars Cooper Flagg and Jared McCain were spotted earlier in the week. According to RealGM, 23 former Duke players are currently in the NBA.

The photos and the teased video highlighted the continued interest surrounding the Duke program and the former players’ bond with the campus; Bleacher Report notes the content has drawn major attention on social media.
