Swiss company Qlupod signs a distribution agreement in Kosovo for its health-monitoring device

The Swiss company Qlupod AG, a start-up in the field of digital health and telemedicine based in Herisau, announced on October 1, 2026 the signing of a distribution agreement with VITEX Group LLC for the market of Kosovo, as the pressetext agency states in its press release distributed to the media.

QluPod is a compact connected health-monitoring device, which measures five key vital signs: heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, body temperature, ECG and blood pressure. According to the Qlupod AG announcement, the device is CE certified and tested by TUV, while the ecosystem is completed by the QluApp application for patients, QluDoc for doctors and QluCare for carers and family members.

After initial meetings in Pristina, the local partner VITEX Group LLC has already begun active market development, with ongoing talks with health and life insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies and private hospitals, it is further announced.

Dr. Lulzim Berisha of VITEX Group LLC said that the objective is not simply to introduce another medical device to the Kosovo market, but to develop — together with insurance companies and healthcare providers — practical models in which digital health monitoring becomes part of patient care. The first talks, according to him, have shown concrete interest.

According to VITEX Group, over 100,000 people in Kosovo currently have health coverage through insurance, which the partners see as great potential for digital health solutions.

Nikola Trajanov, interim CEO of Qlupod AG, said that “Kosovo is a good example of why we developed Qlupod as an ecosystem and not simply as a medical device”, adding that countries that are modernising their healthcare structures can integrate digital solutions at an early stage.

The next phase, according to the announcement, focuses on the commercial distribution of QluPod and demonstrating the solution to institutional partners, as well as assessing the integration of connected health monitoring into existing healthcare and insurance models.
