Tahiri: The Specialist Chambers law is not a “NASA document” — why isn’t it proceeding in Parliament?
Besnik Tahiri, MP of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, has criticized the country’s institutions for still not bringing to Parliament the draft law amending the Law on the Specialist Chambers, as Klan Kosova reports.
With one week left before Parliament decides whether the country will go to new elections or not, Tahiri said all major topics are once again left for the last moments. “Today, one week before Parliament decides whether the country goes to elections or not, again all serious topics remain for the last 24 hours… everything is postponed, everything is left for the end, while institutions function only under the pressure of crisis,” he wrote.
He asked why the law is not returned to Parliament by the Ministry of Justice: “That law is not some NASA analytical document. It’s a law, with several articles, that can be discussed, amended and voted on. Why this anti-state logic? Who are we doing favors for like this?”
Tahiri also criticized the lack of serious discourse on electing the president and on a functional state: “Because it seems the goal is not solving crises, but moving from one crisis to another. This is not governance. It is constant postponement of the problem until the last minute. A state is not governed in the last 24 hours.”
