Tasholli invites citizens to join the march: Let us gather in Pristina, against injustice
Tasholli, a representative of the “Freedom Has a Name” platform that supports the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army at the Hague trial, has called on citizens to join today’s march in Pristina: “Let us gather in Pristina, against injustice”, he wrote, as Klan Kosova reports.
Tasholli’s call comes on the day of the large peaceful gathering “Not in My Name”, held today, 1 October 2026, in support of Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, whose trial at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers is expected to reach a verdict in 2027.
The organisers have said that citizens from all Albanian lands, as well as the diaspora, are expected to take part in the gathering, while repeatedly stressing that the gathering will be peaceful and dignified.
“Freedom Has a Name” is the platform set up to support the former KLA leaders being tried in The Hague, and Tasholli is one of the initiative’s most active voices in calls for citizen participation.
Today’s gathering comes on a politically busy day in Pristina, as European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is also staying in the capital, while the march organisers insist that their protest is completely peaceful and aims only to oppose injustice, as Tasholli’s call puts it.
