Tens of thousands of Iranians at pro-government rally in Tehran: march in solidarity with the Revolutionary Guard
Tens of thousands of Iranians took part on Friday in a pro-government rally in Tehran, in a state-organized military parade called “Janfada,” or “Sacrifice for Iran.”
Women affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) marched under a banner depicting U.S. President Donald Trump in the crosshairs of a target, while a man carried the Iranian flag and a woman a caricature of Trump, according to photos published by the AP news agency.
Soldiers and supporters marched from Imam Hossein Square toward Revolution Square, in a show of solidarity with the IRGC and the Iranian government.
The rally comes in the seventh month of the U.S.–Iran war, at a time when Tehran is trying to show internal unity in the face of American military and economic pressure.
