The 10 companies expanding the most in Kosovo, according to Astrit Panxha
The executive director of the Kosovo Producers Club, Astrit Panxha, has published a list of ten companies that, according to him, could be among the best performers of 2026 in Kosovo. Companies from different sectors are included in the list, including trade, manufacturing, technology, energy, telecommunications, the pharmaceutical industry and construction.
In Kosovo there is much talk about predictions of election winners, about Big Brother, or even about which video will go viral. For business, by contrast, we speak mostly in general terms and much more rarely try to predict which individual companies might perform well.
So said Astrit Panxha in a post on the social network Facebook, presenting his selection of the ten companies that, in his view, could be among the best performers of 2026 in Kosovo.
The list, as Panxha explains, is based on public information, historical performance and managerial reputation.
He stresses that he has had no access to the companies’ balance sheets and that the list does not constitute a ranking by size or profitability. His aim, he says, was to include companies from different sectors of the economy.
Panxha notes that a company’s expansion beyond Kosovo, particularly into Albania and North Macedonia, has not been followed by a simple consolidation period. On the contrary, according to him, the company is continuing with purchases and investments in logistics.
The full list of these companies:
Viva Fresh Store
We begin with Viva Fresh Store — if I could invest in this company’s shares, I would do it immediately. After expanding into Albania and North Macedonia, one would expect consolidation. But no, friends — management is continuing with acquisitions and investments in logistics, without stopping! Viva Fresh is no longer just a supermarket chain from Kosovo; it is becoming a powerful regional group, and I believe it could very soon reach a turnover of one billion euros.
Frutex
Kosovo’s manufacturing champion. Our eagle has spread its wings and is flying wherever it wants. Frutex has invested in a large facility in Germany, which is being prepared as a logistics base for distribution in Europe. Golden Eagle Energy Drink is no longer just a Kosovo brand, but one of the first Albanian brands building global recognition.
SPEEEX
The company SPEEEX has started a trend that I believe is among the best news for our economy. Many people create companies hoping that one day they will sell them to some Swiss or German buyer. SPEEEX has done the opposite: with financing of up to 13 million euros from the EBRD, it has bought the majority of shares in three Swiss companies. Switzerland, you took our footballers; now we have started taking your companies!
Green House SH.P.K.
The name itself tells you what we are talking about: one of the fastest-growing companies in this sector, the prefabricated houses sector. Green House has been the largest exporter in this sector, but with the investment in the new factory, with capacity of up to four houses a day — do the maths. It will very soon reach exports of 50 million euros!
Kosmonte Foods
Kosmonte Foods is known as a powerful distribution company, but now it is taking a much bolder step: it is investing over 11 million euros in the processing of fruit, vegetables and poultry meat. It always pleases me when capital created from trade is invested in production. The combination of distribution and production will be very successful.
CDI Group
The CDI Group, which stands behind Interex, IP Petrol, American Retail Park and now Shell Kosova, is building a very powerful ecosystem. According to media reports, Shell Kosova was bought for around 60 million euros. There are also reports of expansion towards North Macedonia, where it has bought the Tinex retail chain. If it continues at this pace, CDI could become a powerful regional group. Little by little, Kosovo is becoming the “king” of retail in the region.
Buçaj
Whoever knows Buçaj knows that this company is a synonym for discipline in distribution and sales. It has experience, reputation and continuity of growth. The entry of IQOS into the market is expected to give additional impetus to its sales and turnover during 2026. Knowing them, I do not believe they will stop there.
Telekomi i Kosovës
The presence of a state-owned company on this list is a pleasant surprise. After many years of mismanagement and misuse, Telekom is breathing again. It is investing, it is consolidating its position on the market and, instead of taking funds from the Government, it is paying off its obligations from its own activity. Respect for the management — VALA is signalling again, financially too.
Trepharm
If it operated in a larger market and with institutional support, Trepharm would have the potential for much higher turnover, over 100 million euros. The company has over 120 products, more than 250 employees and is EU-GMP certified. This standard opens its way to the European market, and I expect it to directly influence the growth of exports.
Dukagjini Resort
Finally, but not in importance, the cherry on the cake. Dukagjini Resort is a well-known name in media and publications, but it has also become a force in construction. It has recently entered Albania strongly. The Rana e Hedhun project alone involves around 80 million euros of investment, while other projects are in preparation. Ambition, then, does not end with these 80 million.
These companies are putting Kosovo on the map not with speeches, but with factories, acquisitions, exports, technology and international standards. Which company do you think is missing from this list?
