Tragedy in Treboviq, Peja: Child dies, suspected to have been trapped by courtyard gates

A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning in the village of Treboviq in Peja, where a child lost their life, as Klan Kosova reports.

The child is suspected to have been trapped by the courtyard gates. The case was also confirmed to Klan Kosova by the police, through the regional spokesperson for Peja, Driton Rugova.

“On 29.09.2026, at around 09:30, police were notified by the Emergency Department of the regional hospital in Peja that a child had been admitted with no signs of life. Police units immediately went to the scene in the village of Treboviq-Peja, as well as to the regional hospital in Peja, in order to clarify the circumstances of the case,” Rugova told Klan Kosova.

The State Prosecutor has been notified of the case, and by order of the prosecutor the victim’s lifeless body was released to the family for funeral ceremonies.
