Trump signs new executive order: government services to be on a single platform

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order requiring federal agencies to integrate their public services with America.gov, a new artificial-intelligence-backed platform created to offer citizens a single point of access to government services.

Trump said agencies must make their services available through the platform “as soon as possible.” According to him, the goal is for citizens to no longer need to search through thousands of websites and different forms to find the services they need.

Through America.gov, users are expected to be able to search for government services and receive assistance through a single AI-based interface.

Trump also stated the platform will be developed with privacy and personal data security in mind, claiming that user information will not be stored and that conversations will be deleted once the user leaves the platform.

The order was signed as Trump hosted leaders of major tech companies at the White House, among them Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI’s Greg Brockman and Google’s Sundar Pichai.
