University of Shkodra and National Library sign cooperation agreement on Albanological studies

The “Luigj Gurakuqi” University of Shkodra and the National Library of Albania formalized a cooperation agreement focused on Albanological studies, scientific research and the preservation of Albania’s written heritage. The agreement was signed by the University of Shkodra rector, Blerta Dragusha, and the National Library director, Majlinda Toçi.

The agreement envisages the development of joint research and projects in fields such as linguistics, bibliography, archival science and documentary heritage.

The cooperation will also extend to academic, publishing and digital projects of common interest to both institutions.

An important part of the agreement relates to the involvement of students, doctoral candidates, lecturers and researchers in joint activities. This aims to create new opportunities for scientific research and the study of the National Library’s Albano-Balkanological collections.

The agreement aims to strengthen institutional and academic cooperation between the University of Shkodra and the National Library, creating a common basis for the development of research and Albanological studies in Shkodra and beyond.
