Young man creates digital platform in Albanian for KLA archives and the Kosovo war

17-year-old Kadir Hovarda has created a digital platform in the Albanian language aimed at collecting and presenting materials and sources related to the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and the 1998–1999 war.

The platform, titled “Kosova Arkiv 1998–1999”, was created with the aim of making documents and materials related to the war period more accessible to the Albanian-speaking public.

According to the project’s description, the published materials were verified before being included in the platform.

The initiative comes at a time when archiving and documenting the history of the Kosovo war is gaining particular importance, including access to documents, testimonies and historical materials.

Similar archival projects underscore the importance of using verifiable sources and of distinguishing between documented facts, personal testimonies and interpretations.

Hovarda’s platform is accessible online and can be visited through this digital archive “Kosova Arkiv 1998–1999”.

The 17-year-old’s initiative represents an effort to gather on one page materials that can serve citizens, pupils, students and researchers who want to learn more about the recent war in Kosovo, as Telegrafi reports.
