137 projects for Expo 2027: Serbia’s science organizations enter the race for the Belgrade exhibition
The “Expo 2027” company announced today that 137 projects from 75 research-science organizations have applied to the public call for research-science organizations for the specialized “Expo” exhibition in Belgrade, as Danas reports. Of these, 47 came from faculties and universities and 90 from institutes, while applications arrived from organizations in 14 cities across Serbia.
The call had been announced by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation. The final list of selected projects is expected in mid-October, after which their development and preparation for presentation at Expo 2027 will begin.
Selected projects are envisaged to receive non-refundable grants of up to three million dinars per project, intended for the development and preparation of scientific and innovative content for the exhibition.
The programme’s goal, according to the announcement, is to present and promote Serbia’s scientific achievements, research capacities and innovation potential through exhibition and program content for the domestic and international public.
Selected projects will be able to be presented in different formats — interactive exhibition and digital content, science games and simulations, live experiments and demonstrations, professional talks and meetings, as well as scientific-artistic and performance programs.
