57-year-old arrested in Korça for selling cocaine from a bar he had rented

A 57-year-old man has been arrested by the Korça police on suspicion of selling cocaine from a bar he had rented in the village of Drithas.

According to police reports, Spiro Bregu, 57, was detained after officers found a quantity of suspected narcotic cocaine during a search of the bar, divided into doses and ready for sale.

Meanwhile, during a search of his home, officers found another quantity of suspected narcotic cocaine, as well as an electronic scale.

The full police statement:

Narcotics investigation specialists, as a result of investigations conducted with special methods over several weeks into a case of narcotics sales in the village of Drithas, finalized the operation codenamed “Drithas”. As part of the operation, citizen S. B., 57, resident of the village of Drithas, Maliq, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

During the search of the bar this citizen had rented, a quantity of suspected narcotic cocaine was found, divided into doses and ready for sale, while during the search of his home another quantity of suspected narcotic cocaine and an electronic scale were found.

In cooperation with the Prosecution, work continues on the full legal documentation of this citizen’s criminal activity.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korça, for further action.
