62-year-old from Tetovo suspected of raping a child under 15 turns himself in after social media video

A 62-year-old man from the Tetovo district, identified by the initials R.N., has been arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “rape of a child under 15 years of age,” under Article 188 of the Criminal Code, KISS.mk reports.

According to police, last night at 9:45 p.m., after a video was published on social media, R.N. turned himself in at the Tetovo Police Station.

On the instruction of the public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Tetovo, the man was detained on reasonable suspicion and is being held at the police station for further proceedings.

Police, in coordination with the competent prosecutor’s office, are working to fully clarify and document the case.
