‘A Beautiful Noise’: Canadian Singer-Songwriter Jesse Labelle to Headline the Neil Diamond Musical’s North American Tour

Canadian singer and songwriter Jesse Labelle will be the star of the new North American tour of “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical,” the musical dedicated to the life and songs of the American music icon Neil Diamond. The tour will relaunch on November 3 at the Bass Concert Hall in Austin, Texas, where Labelle will play Neil Diamond-Then, the young version of the legend.

Labelle is an award-winning singer-songwriter: his 2012 single “Heartbreak Coverup” earned Gold and Platinum certification as well as the Canadian Radio Music Award, while with the song “Two Hearts and a Diamond” he received the International Acoustic Music Award in 2019. His concert career includes tours alongside Elton John, Garth Brooks, Keith Urban and Morgan Wallen. As Playbill reported, it also published a video of Labelle performing Diamond’s legendary hit “Sweet Caroline.”

“A Beautiful Noise” began its journey with a pre-Broadway engagement at Boston’s Emerson Colonial Theatre in June 2022 and debuted on Broadway in December 2022 at the Broadhurst Theatre, where it played until June 2024 under the direction of Tony Award winner Michael Mayer. The first national tour launched in September 2024 and visited 69 cities across the United States. The additional cast of the new tour will be announced later; the tour is produced by Networks Presentations.

The news was announced by Playbill on September 25, 2026. Tickets and the full tour itinerary are available on the official website ABeautifulNoisetheMusical.com.
