“A Ghost in Your Ear”: “The Pitt” star Lucas Iverson makes Off-Broadway debut — replaces Harry Richardson as opening is delayed
Actor Lucas Iverson, known for his role as James Ogilvie in the television series “The Pitt” and for appearances in “The Gilded Age”, is joining the cast of Audible Theater’s Off-Broadway production of “A Ghost in Your Ear”, Playbill reports. Iverson replaces Harry Richardson, who withdrew from the production due to unforeseen circumstances, and with this role makes his Off-Broadway debut.
“A Ghost in Your Ear” is the “headphone horror” drama written and directed by Tony nominee Jamie Armitage (co-director of “SIX”), produced by Audible Theater. Set at a horror audiobook recording session gone wrong, the show puts spectators in headphones with binaural technology: when an actor arrives late to the studio and picks up the script of a ghost story to read, the terrors begin to emerge from the page and take over the studio itself.
The cast change has also brought a schedule shift: previews that were supposed to begin on September 29 now start on Saturday, October 3, while the show is extended an extra week, through November 22. Ticket holders for the September 29–October 2 dates will receive refunds and rebooking options.
Starring alongside Iverson is Owen Campbell, known from the film “X” and his Broadway debut in “Hangmen”. The creative team includes the Tony-nominated duo Ben & Max Ringham (sound design), Anisha Fields (set and costumes) and Ben Jacobs (lighting). The show arrives in New York after a successful run at London’s Hampstead Theatre earlier this year.
